On the Cheap

By Chase Kahn

Bought about thrity minutes ago, John Huston's "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre" ('48), Mervyn LeRoy's "The FBI Story" ('59) and "I Am a Fugitive From a Chain Gang" ('32), plus Delmer Daves' "Destination Tokyo" ('44) for $35.68.

  1. The DVD remaster of TREASURE is fantastic! I watched it in my theatre and even for DVD it looked great upscaled...now we need the blu-ray release! Houston's deep focus outdoor photography remains slightly blurry on the DVD but is perfect in its nitrate original. Great find:)
