I can't speak for everyone, but in watching TCM's "The Thin Man" marathon last night (or at least a good portion of the first two films, which I had seen and loved before yesterday), I got to thinking that no other on-screen pairing has ever sizzled more than Myrna Loy and William Powell in these films.

1934's "The Thin Man" and 1936's "After the Thin Man" are indisputable classics in my estimation, but the joy of watching them, I realized last night, lies solely on watching the banter between William Powell's Nick and Myrna Loy's Nora. For me, it doesn't get any better.
