By Chase KahnQuentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds made $14.3 million yesterday alone at the domestic box office, the biggest opening day ever for a Tarantino film and surpasing the surprise hit District 9's Friday number of $14.2 million last week.
District 9 went on to make $37 million last weekend and early estimates see Basterds raking in $34-35 million through Sunday. Harvey Weinstein just let out a sigh of relief.
